fun family

this family was all fun. they had a natural ability to be themselves in front of the camera. the mom happens to be Connor's gymnastics instructor so you can imagine how acrobatic her children are!

twins.

showing off some of her jumping skills. she was SO excited to me her back-hand-springs and such.

now this boy has character!

comfy and peaceful

this little boy was not unlike most newborns (difficult to get to sleep during a photo session) but when he was asleep he just looked so peaceful.

just look how comfortable he is here

down on the farm

how cool that this suburban couple chose to raise their family on a farm (their dream).

dad really wanted to capture each child with their own special animal which i thought was a terrific idea.

so here's big bro who has a thing for rabbits

and middle bro who seems to have special connections to chickens and he worked VERY hard to capture just this one.

little sis who is posing with the dog that taught her how to walk!

but who also loves little piggies.

and let's not forget mom who seems to be such a natural with animals. she raised this goat and it literally sits on her lap and kisses her!

last but not least dad with his fav horse.

ok, gotta get back to editing. i am starting to get carpel tunnel... no joke!!

a complete family

It was a pleasure to photograph another return client and meet their new addition (2 month old "C").

Little"C" was quite sleepy during our session but had a very difficult time falling asleep as we kept moving him.

but he finally did!

his siblings were a treat. both wanting their one-on-one time with the photographer. The ever so compliant big sister was easy peezy.
and the middle brother didn't even know he was making art until i spotted him in the background and said "keep doing that... i love it!".
and even here he had no idea how stinking cute he was. he longed for this moment.

now don't worry mom and dad... i got normal stuff too but the one above just makes me LOL!

for sure the coldest session of the year

last weekend was just plain cold and yucky... not ideal for photographing young children outdoors. even so, i am happy we were all tough enough to bear the conditions as i am also so happy with the results.

the compliant big brother.

and then the three year old little brother... very much full of life, energy and curiosity. this really captures his personality... taken split seconds before a jump off the park bench!

worth the chill

it was one chilly weekend and it's about time to stop going outdoors for sessions. but, how could i resist myself in leaves like these?

one of my favorite maternity images to date. you can see that their dog can't wait to give the baby a good lickin'

dreamy boy

i rarely post on my blog the same day i take images but luckily i had a great movie on that everyone enjoyed so i could sneak away to my computer. also just couldn't resist myself these dreamy brown eyes and curly hair.

look, a heart shaped leaf!

we froze our buns off during this session. we ran and danced to stay warm.

and now you can see where his good looks come from!

different ways of doing things

the kids were drawing self portraits (and what not) today and i suggested to have their own portraits taken with their finished artwork.

this just shows that some people like to abide by the "rules"

and that others have their "own way" of doing things.

either way... we just learn to embrace the creation that they are and smile :-)

skipping school...

for some fun shots outside. this trio got to miss a little bit of school to have their photos taken yesterday.

letting it all loose!

a boy after my own heart.

and don't you worry dori.. i got plenty of them both looking at the camera. this just happended to strike my fancy b/c it's so tender and cute.
baby sister happy as can be. for all you that follow my blog regularly, she is the same baby that slept on the hutch at 3 months old. my how they grow!!

and next is our neighbor who was happy to show me his new smile.

and silly and spunky little sister who is full of energy. we stuck to the peek-a-boo game and it worked great!
