the roots of an artist
There really is no doubt that our kids are going to be artistic. It runs deep in the roots of both myself and my hubby. Madison is already creating masterpieces and the boys are well on their way. It's the easiest, cheapest and most fun form of entertainment right now in their lives. Christian draws dinosaurs all day long... literally. Connor has watched him for so long that he started to get in on the fun. He is only 18 months and already uses a pen just like big bro! It's a good thing b/c a crayon or pencil gets eaten, just not a pen!

3 kiddos
I had a lot of fun with this family. Mom was so laid back and the kids were a hoot. This was really to be focused on the 3rd child who is 2 yrs and never had her pictures taken yet. I was able to get some extras just of her.
Big brother DID NOT want to get his pictures taken... until I asked him if he wanted to show me his room and jump on the bed for a bit! He totally changed and "rocked the session" as I told him. I could not get him away from my camera. He reminded me of my middle son.
Here is the middle child who had a lot of big fake smiles but every now and then she gave me her "real" self and it was all worth it!Finally, baby #3 who got the attention in this one. It's like she's saying "step back guys, this one is all about me!".... notice big brother who is still wanting all the attention in the background!

just in time
We captured her maternity photos just in time for the baby. Baby brother was born yesterday! These were taken 1 week ago (almost). Yes, this is another "PWC" child... and I'm sure you know already.
This one holds a rank with my favs as well. He has a lot of expressions but I think I like this kind the most. He's in deep thought here.

milestone
Another 1 year old! I photographed her in her mommy's tummy and at the hospital. It was so great to see sweet "S" again all grown up into... yes... a toddler. I hate that when they turn into that term.
and for those who use to work with me and are wondering who she is... she is another "PWC" baby. Just look at the dimple in her chin and you'll know who her mommy is.
this shot was daddy's idea. I loved it and had recently seen it on another photographer's blog thinking how cool it was.
ok, now it's a dead giveaway who I am talking about... here she is!

The Accordion Scrapbook
Introducing a new product... the Accordion Scrapbook! What a fabulous way to display and preserve your session photos as an alternative to a plain photo album or framing. It's custom made by scrapbooker Alison Cobb... personalized with your child's name. The album comes in two designs... Pink/Brown for girls and Brown/Blue for boys (shown here). Album has 14 sides and you just insert your pictures wherever you desire. Embellishments are already placed throughout album but there is still enough empty space for you to customize with more details and journaling. Please ask for more details!
It also includes a box for safe storage. The box will have your child's initial.

little guy in his coat
I was looking through old photos today and came across this full body shot of Connor in his winter coat! Now sure how I missed this photo. This was back in November so it's a smidge too big still. Love this little guy, his big smiles and big blue eyes. I know what he's thinking when I see his expression here... "Thank you so much mommy for taking me outside today. I need some of this fresh air. I hate being inside all the time. I just want to live right here in my cul-de-sac!"
He keeps me hopping!

just a little decor!
Depending on the session and what the client wants, I do some fun things with newborns... like use them as a piece of decor. Since the momma loves to decorate, this only seemed appropriate. Meet little "W"... isn't he beautiful!!
and a signature shot of mine... look how tiny his feet are in comparison!!

saying goodbye
This family will be moving from their beautiful country home soon. So, they wanted to preserve some memories. Here are a few favs from this session.
I think all us women can "ahh" at this one. She's reading Charlotte's Web... her favorite bedtime book right now.
this is one of my personal favs right now. No, I did not pose the cat. I almost moved him until I got a grip and realized he was really making this an AWESOME photo.
and memories of her playroom, where so much time is spent!
