a day in the life of sam | Noblesville, IN children's photography

Little Sam had FIVE Jen Sherrick sessions last year so it was only fitting that we try something different for his 18 month session. This session was a documentary of what he does at this point in his life. Sometimes or shall I say "often" we take the everyday grind for granted. Time goes so fast and we all of a sudden miss some of the greatest moments in life.

Caleb had some triplet friends over a few months ago (just two days younger than him)... he loved hangin' with them all.

a girl at last! and a breath of fresh air | Zionsville, IN newborn photography

As many of you know, our family has close ties with the country Haiti. Aaron works for a ministry in Haiti, called Nehemiah Vision Ministries. We have a strong friendship with the Pierre Family, whom founded the ministry. After the earthquake, we were unsure of their safety for many days. The heartbreak for the Haitians along with our anxiety for our friends caused a very, very emotional week.

But, life had to go on for us and I had to do a newborn shoot two days after the earthquake. I was so pleasantly surprised to show up and greet new baby Brooklyn.... the only girl of FIVE gorgeous brothers. I thought mom was having another boy, but to all of our surprise we were wrong! Getting to spend a few hours with an amazing mother and her precious daughter reminded me of the blessings in life. My heartache was turned to joy!

So, introducing baby Brooklyn who is sure to have her fair share of love, kisses, pink and wrestling matches! Oh, and I can't wait to return again in April to photograph her with the rest of the gang! Check out the post from their last session way back in April 2008.

three years later | Noblesville, IN family photography

It was great to see this family after three years. Loved that they love Star Wars and Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus as it helped keep their interest in me. Thankfully I know a few of those Star Wars characters!

Don't you just LOOOVE the name? He joins this beautiful family photographed back in August.


Love his hands resting so peacefully. He fought us hard!

I had a shot very similar to this taken when Caleb was just 10 days old (thanks Leslie!). In fact, I think Crew is also 10 days old here. There is NOTHING sweeter than this!


Also, just a quick announcement (and no, I'm not pregnant again!).....Be looking for a post to come real soon with girls' size 6 dresses from Crew Cuts for sale (very, very gently used)! I guess I just have "Crew" on the mind!

I LOVE coming back to repeat clients, but even better when they have another baby!

Here's baby sister "C"...but I couldn't resist myself to not copycat big sister's original newborn shot. I had to create a bit different look since she is a whole new work of art!

You can just see peaceful-ness all over her!

Happy New Year | Carmel, Indiana Children's Photography

Wow, what a year! Looking back I am amazed at all the wonderful clients I worked with. I can't even begin to tell you how blessed I feel to work with families that truly treasure memories as much as I do. I am looking forward to meeting with the same families again in 2010 as well as meeting new ones!

I can't wait to reveal my new website coming soon. It's such a work in progress and when you see it you will know exactly why!
